Meet the maker Sarah Richards
I am a Mum of three who loves to design and make a wide variety of crafts. I really enjoy working with wool, paint, paper, felt and beads, and I can't resist a little bit of sparkle! I like to combine materials and experiment with different textures and techniques.
I'm originally from the Suffolk coast, and have always been a country person at heart. I studied a dual honours degree at Sheffield University in the early 90's and am still friends with my closest mates from back then. I now live in a small house on the edge of the Cotswolds, with nature all around me for inspiration!
This area is well known throughout history for its wool industry, gently rolling hills and soft coloured stone. William Morris spent 25 years living and working nearby and he believed that you should have nothing in your home that wasn't useful or beautiful - a sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with.
I really hope you like my crafts as much as I like making them. Please contact me if you have any questions, special requests and so on.
