Meet the maker Nicola Gibson

All of my work is hand crafted in Norwich where I have been living ever since I graduated from Visual Studies in 1998.
I have been very fortunate to work in the creative industries since that time in an exciting and broad range of media including bronze, lead, acrylic, glass, ceramics and many others.
I went on to complete an MA in Art in Architecture in 2003 and a PGCE in Art & Design in 2005.
Currently I am absorbed by textiles, utilising software, illustration and photography. My main intention is to produce work which takes a whimsical look at domestic themes and popular culture.
Some of my items are functional and some are decorative; mostly they are intended to make you smile...!
