Meet the maker Nicole Twena

Hello there,

I'm Nicole and I live in Reigate, a small town in the South East of England, with my hubby and 3 small boys.

I've enjoyed working with felt since I was a child. I love the intense colours, the versatility and the fact that it doesn't fray :) This little shop was born when I started making toys for my children using felt containing acrylic bought from our local haberdashery. I got so frustrated when after pouring love into my creations they looked bobbly, shiny and stretched after just a few days of being played with. After a bit of research and experimentation with different types of felt I discovered that the 100% wool felt was fab to work with and the things I made with it lasted and lasted. The only snag was that it was tricky to come by. The stuff from Nepal was not great quality and the dye was often uneven. I finally found a top quality European felt which comes in delicious colours, is super soft and a dream to use. So here I am with my little shop, hoping to make this beautiful felt more accessible to others.
