Meet the maker Clare Loveday

Welcome to my folksy shop!

I started as illustrator then I started to print on textiles and now I've started drawing on china and ceramics. I make a range of items that are screen printed, drawn and sewn by hand that I hope will really stand out from what you will find in high street shops. Most of what I make is of plants and animals and the natural world with a healthy injection of bright colours. I screen print all of my drawings onto the fabric by hand in a lovely print studio and sew everything myself using my old but wonderfully reliable sewing machine. My new porcelain pens are my current favourite things and I have been trailing round car boot sales and antique markets to find things to upcycle with the. I love the idea of having stuff that nobody else has so never make more than 25 of the same thing. While it is not quite one of a kind, chances are you won't see anybody else with it!
