Meet the maker Jane Kayley

I am passionate about Spinning and Weaving . Since being a child I have had creative hobbies, but its blending colours and textures that really is the most interesting part for me. I am inspired by the countryside around me to create new yarns and handwoven items.

Welcome to my handspun and handwoven shop. I like to express my self through colour and fibres and everything I make is a unique and one of a kind item.

Everything is made solely by myself using traditional methods. I am based in the UK and live in Somerset. In ancient times this was part of the magical kingdom of Wessex and the areas natural colours and landscapes form a backdrop for my work.

Although I am new to Etsy I have over 3000 feedback on UK Ebay and have a 100% positive feedback rating. You can rest assured that I will provide my customers with an excellent customer service and go that extra mile to ensure you are happy with any items you purchase from me.

I have been self employed for around 12 years. Initially I started out with a general craft shop selling supplies to crafters of all kinds, but soon wanted something where I could showcase handcrafted items rather than the materials involved in making them. Around 7 years ago, I launched a pagan business where I sold Pagan artifacts and quality handcrafted items with a pagan theme. Although we featured other artists work many of the items were handmade by myself and a co-owner. This was relatively successful, but the pagan theme didnt really allow me the freedom to include my yarn and woven creations. So the idea for BramblePath was born.

In the next few months I hope to bring more of my hand spun and hand woven items onto Folksy .

REFUNDS: I am sure that you will be delighted with your purchases from BramblePath, but in the unlikely event that you are disapointed I do accept returns and am happy to give a refund or offer you an alternative item of the same value. Returned items must be returned in the same condition as they were dispatched and the buyer is responsible for the return postage costs.

If you think something has been lost in the posts please inform me so I can help out.

ITEMS: I handspin my yarns from a mixture of British and merino wool tops combined with various fibres, ribbons etc. Each listing should contain details of the Yarn contents though occasional stray fibres may slip into the blend from the drum carding process.

Please note that items that are described as 2 and 3 ply describes the composition of the yarn and not the knitting gauge. Each listing will give a commercial equivalent gauge/weight so that you can match yarn to patterns.

I do accept orders for custom items but as everything is handmade please be aware that processes like carding, spinning, weaving, dying etc. cannot be rushed. If you contact me with your requirements I will endeavour to quote a realistic time frame for the work you require.

I try to ensure the colours of my yarns and woven items are well represented in the photographs but as computer monitors vary there could be some slight tonal differences. If the yarn is really not what you expected I will of course refund or replace as mentioned previously.

Handspun items are made from Wool and therefore care needs to be taken when washing. I recommend a cool handwash, pulling to reshape and flat drying. Most of the dyes used are colour fast but its probably best to wash items on their own at least for the first wash.
