Design & MaterialsI like to make fresh, contemporary looking quilts. I love my quilts to be cozy, beautiful and well-used. I use only high quality 100% cotton for my quilt tops, backs and bindings and 100% cotton thread. I usually use a cotton mix batting rather than 100% cotton as it gives the quilt a bit more lift. My quilt tops are machine sewn and I quilt on my machine with a 'free motion' technique. So no two will ever be alike! Then for the therapy, I attach the bindings by hand so that it makes a lovely, neat finish. I prefer using the Moda designer ranges of fabrics because they are such good quality and the colour schemes and themes are fantastic. Also, Moda only do limited amounts of each design; adding to the unique quality of your quilt.Where & WhyI work from what WAS my spare bedroom and is now my lovely workshop. Ours is a smoke-free home. I love to quilt in my spare time when I'm not on the golf course.
