Meet the maker Amanda White

Amanda went to a lovely little school (which sadly doesn’t exist anymore) where the core subject was Macrame. Her passion for sewing started when she realised her Sindy doll needed a capsule wardrobe and her pocket money only stretched as far as a Sherbet Dip and the odd Fruit Salad.

She graduated to making children’s clothes during her GCSE Textiles course but years later she somehow found herself with a proper job, marketing within investment banks in the City.

Having spent the last ten years training a husband and raising three kids, shutting herself in the spare room with a sewing machine seemed like a really good idea. She is now hugely into appliqueing clothes for babies and children with gorgeous Liberty fabrics and quirky designs, inspired by the fashion tastes of her children.

All T-shirts and babygrows (100% cotton) and hoodies (80% cotton, 20% polyester) are high quality and Fair-trade, made in Africa.
