Meet the maker Stephanie Hillier

Ever since I can remember I have loved sewing. When I was growing up some of my friends were lucky enough to have a TV in their bedrooms - I was luckier... I had a sewing machine! It wasn't anything fancy, but an old Singer treadle machine, which must have made a terrible noise in the sitting room below!! but it was enough to create a passion that has never left me.
It is only recently that I have discovered and enjoyed the style of machine appliqué and embroidery that adorns my bags, cushions, cards and other items; my style comes very naturally to me - I'm not sure from where, but it just happens!!
I love natural fabrics and colours and usually use cotton calico or linen for the main fabrics.
