Working in my little garden studio in Melbourne, Derbyshire, I make unique, handcrafted pottery items with a touch of whimsy for you to enjoy.
Inspiration comes from my surroundings. Nature is on my doorstep and I get lots of ideas ambling through the local fields, sometimes peering into the hedgerows. I enjoy combining my observations from nature with my love of patterns.
Dogs and birds are common subjects in my decoration. Dogs because my best 4-legged bud Bruno is an endless source of inspiration and cuteness. And birds because they can fly, and any animal that can fly is a wonder to behold.
My items are made from stoneware clay, which is durable and long-lasting. I make both wheel thrown and slab-built pottery and sometimes enjoy combining the two.
My pieces are playful and lighthearted - an escape from the more serious aspects of life - my aim is to convey colour and joy wherever possible.

The ceramic flowers are so delightful. I had been looking for something to fill a small vase when fresh flowers aren't available, and these are perfect. Lucy was very communicative about shipping - I knew exactly what to expect. Lovely experience all around.
