AlchemyUk is a small friendly team lead by Alex. Our design philosophy is, jewellery is to be enjoyed not only in the wearing but also in its construction. Thats why we try to have as much fun as possible whilst designing and creating our jewellery.
There is always music (usually Motown), someone singing and plenty of tea and coffee flowing.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
PaymentWe accept credit card payments through Paypal. With this method, we never have access to your personal or financial information, outside of your shipping address and your email address. If you need to cancel an order, please do so as soon as possible, but please understand that if you are ordering a custom item we cannot cancel your order after we have made your item. If your ordering a stock item please be aware that we cannot cancel your order once your item is marked as dispatched.
ShippingWe use Royal Mail signed for first class as our standard shipping method for UK orders, unfortunately we cannot guarantee delivery dates (but 90% of the time arrives the next working day) unless you upgrade to special delivery guaranteed. Please contact us before ordering so we can give you an updated delivery price.
International customers are responsible for all customs, VAT and brokerage fees assessed by your country, we are required by law to write the accurate item price and mark our customs forms as merchandise. If you live outside the UK and do not wish to pay customs fees, please let us know right away that you would like to cancel your order. We will not falsify the customs form, mark the contents as a ‘gift’ or lie about the value of the contents. All of these things are an offense. Please do not as us to break the law.
Delivery Confirmation (package tracking) is included for Royal Mail signed for 1st class.
Shipments going to the following countries: EU and US usually take between 5-10 days to arrive, but they can take quite a while to get from point A to point B. If you need your order by a certain date within the next month, please check with us BEFORE you order, to see if its possible, we can also quote for an upgrade to International Guaranteed delivery.
Some of our items are made to order. Orders are processed in the order in which they are received. If you need it shipped ASAP, please convo us BEFORE you purchase and we will do our best to work with you, if its possible.
Our pieces are packaged in tissue and gift boxes, then packaged in a protective postal box. Items with a high risk of damage in transit will be packaged in a box for shipping.
As Folksy does not currently allow for shipping upgrades, please contact us before ordering if you would like to upgrade to a faster shipping option. Orders of multiple items will automatically combine shipping.
Refunds and ExchangesWe cant accept returns or exchanges on custom made jewellery of any kind. This jewellery has been personally created for you and cannot be resold. That being said, if you’re unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact us prior to leaving feedback, and we will do everything we can to fix it. It’s our highest priority that you are completely happy with your purchase! All of our jewellery is 100% guaranteed for workmanship. If anything goes terribly wrong just send it back to us and we’ll fix it for you, trade you for something else, or give you a full refund. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee an item for normal wear over long periods of time.
If you order a custom piece of jewellery and find that you don’t like how it looks or are allergic to the metal, we unfortunately can’t provide a return/refund, as this is not due to our workmanship. We do accept returns on non-custom items within 30 days of the date ordered, for whatever reason. But please not that due to EU Hygiene Regulations, earring and piercings are not returnable, but we will refund earrings and pierced items if the goods are faulty. Please contact us via Etsy convo or email to arrange the return. Upon our receipt of the returned item in it’s original condition, we will issue a refund via the original payment method for the item amount (less shipping). We can’t cover the cost for return shipping. Exchanges on non-custom items are welcome too. Simply email or convo us within 30 days of your purchase date. Ship the item back to us, and then either pay the difference or we will refund you the difference if your chosen new item is less expensive. The cost of shipping for the new item will be charged to you.
Dues to the nature of custom orders, they cannot be returned or exchanged. If your custom item needs a repair due to either workmanship or faulty findings, we will cover your shipping cost and repair your item at no extra cost. However, if the error is due to information provided by you then we are sorry but we cannot replace for free. We will do our best, in this circumstance, to rush turnaround if you order a replacement.
