Profile
Welcome to Silver Moss Jewellery
Thank you for looking at my jewellery. I've been making jewellery in silver for nearly ten years, beginning learning on a silversmithing course.
I like to make what I'd like to wear, and tend to work mainly in silver, with some gemstones and glass beads. I've started experimenting with polymer clay and also with copper, so do check back for new additions in the future.
I'm inspired by nature and I like experimenting with texture and working through designs that are variations on a theme. I'm hampered by the amount of hours in the day!
Some items are hallmarked as sterling silver, as I have a maker's mark from the assay office. Items under the weight of 7.78 grams do not need to be marked by law, but I sometimes hallmark them as it can increases their aesthetic value. Everything is handmade by me and, by the nature of that, everything is unique. No two pieces come out the same and I pride myself on this. Working in silver is labour intensive and can be hard, and dirty, work but the results, I hope, are worth the effort.
I've a Silver Moss blog, if you fancy a look, and I also have a twitter feed
I hope you like what you see in my shop. All compliments gratefully received!
