Meet the maker Ben Conybeare

I am a self taught artist living in Louth, Lincolnshire, interested in producing work in a variety of styles. Currently I'm interested in creating paintings based around natural shapes, such as flowers, leaves animals or insects, but playing with colour to produce as strong an effect as possible. I try to paint from life as much as I can, but when I can't use the real thing, I will paint from photographs. I use mainly acrylic paints, sometimes oils, and paint mainly onto canvas.
