Meet the maker Dawn Deacon

My name is Dawn and I am a stay at home mum with one little boy, Noah. I have dabbled in a variety of arts and crafts over the years, but only started making jewellery properly in about November 08, and began making stitch jewellery around Christmas 08. I have learnt some basic stitches from magazines and then just launched myself into designing my own pieces as I quickly became bored of sticking to prescribed styles and designs.

I generally have an eye for colour and styles as I previously used to work in fashion buying for a major high street chain, and still am a keen follower of fashion.I also have a ridiculously large jewellery collection of my own, so am led into making pieces that I would love to wear.

I also create tiaras and hair accessories for weddings, proms and other occassions.My designs are, just that, designs that can be personalised to a clients colour choice makeing each piece unique.

I am happy to work with clients to design a special piece,or produce something similar to one of my styles in different colours. I can also creat complimentary items such as necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Post and Packaging.
Size permitting items will come presented in a beautiful organza bag. Larger items will be lovingly wrapped.I try to use as much recyled packaging, for postage, as I can, to keep as much from landfill as possible. Postage is £2.00 for the first item and only 25p for additional items.

Returns.
If you are not satisifed with an item, I am happy to accept returns and will refund items returned within 7 days. You will be refunded the cost of the item minus post and package. You will need to pay for the return of the item. The only exception to this is with faulty items.

Care of items.
Hand stitched jewellery will stand up to day to day wear, but by its nature is also delicate. Glass beads can smash if dropped. Thread and beads can become discoloured if sprayed with perfumes or creams. Treasure the piece and treat it with care and it will love you back for many years.
