Meet the maker Eve Barnes

Whether it's drawing, sewing or playing the drums there's nothing I enjoy more than being creative!

Minifelts started life in 2011 not long after I'd finished University. With a head full of ideas I decided to learn to sew and started making cute accessories inspired by my obsession with animals. All my creations are designed to make people smile and bring a bit of personality to otherwise identical phones and gadgets everywhere.

During the day I help other companies run their websites and in the evenings I design and make Minifelts in my studio, in an old converted schoolhouse in London. Minifelts is continuing to grow year after year and my dream is that one day I can devote all my time to running my business.

My designs start out as doodles, that slowly get refined into templates and from there I add features, always trying to make each one look as cute as possible! I love working with felt, as it doesn't fray, it comes in a staggering array of colours and it has a wonderful texture that constantly changes over time.

I use a mixture of wool blend felt, acrylic felt, buttons, beads, and embroidery thread to bring my creatures to life. Each design is made to order so is completely customisable by you. If you'd like something done differently, just ask.

They are all 100% hand sewn and cut from my own unique designs. When you buy a Minifelt not only do you get something truly unique, that are only produced in very small quantities, but you are buying a product where complete care and attention has gone into every stitch.
