Illustrator, creator and imagineer based in the wilds of North West England. Creating art from my studio (ie Shed). I have worked in publishing & graphic design. Influenced by to many films & comics at an early age, i love creating fantastical bits and bobs and try to draw something everyday.

Paintedgrooves.blogspot.com started when i managed to grab a load of old vinyl from a tip. I decided,as most where unplayable, i would use them as a canvas.

I love to use any sort of media possible and paint on anything that has a flat( ish) surface. Even though I am a fan of black & white, especially for some of the horror based images i do, i try to introduce some kind of texture into all my works. I don't think any of my work is finished until my hands are covered in ink,paint and cuts!!
