Meet the maker Lucy Bishop

I have always loved crafts and art and have drawn and sewn since I was very little, learning a lot from my gran. I love to use old fabrics and clothes that otherwise would be thrown out and make them into something beautiful and usable, whether it is the fabric, buttons, trimmings or embroidered panels.

I have a masters in Archaeology and concentrated a lot on archaeological textiles so a lot of my ideas and inspiration comes from the past especially my hand embroidery. I am always looking and reading about different techniques and sketching at museums for different designs. This is a big reason why I am also a big supporter of British Wool, I think it is such a beautiful material to work with and to use and such a huge part of our heritage.

Most of my work is unique and I very rarely make more than one item in a fabric or style, so even if it is the same pattern I will use a different fabric colour or change the embellishments.

Terms and Conditions

All of the items on my page are handmade and unique so may vary slightly from the pictures shown, I will try and make the items as near to the pictures as possible though. As some of my items are made to order to the customers requirements the images are for examples only and are not reflective of the buyers final order.

Delivery: I will post your item within 3 days of receiving payment through Paypal. If you have ordered an item to be custom made please allow up to 5 working days for the item to be shipped or the time discussed with me when you made the order.

All items will be suitably packaged in protective postage bags with extra bubble wrap if needed. Any breakable items will also be packaged in a padded secure box.

All items will be sent First Class for the UK and Airmail for overseas with proof of postage.

Please message me if you do not receive your item within 10 days of the item being shipped.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase please contact me first and then return the item within 7 days of your notification, in the original packaging. I will offer a full refund or exchange.

Please be aware you are responsible for any import duty/charges which may apply
