Meet the maker Claire Davis

Hello and thanks for visiting Dragonfly Lane. I am a jewellery designer and maker residing in north Leicestershire.

I mainly work with silver, copper and brass, using traditional silversmithing and jewellery making techniques to create my pieces. I would describe my work as contemporary and colourful, incorporating semi precious gemstones and beautiful glass beads into my designs to add colour. I love texture and many of my pieces have had various hammering designs applied to create patten and detail.

Most of my designs can be altered to suit different tastes, be it a different colourway, sizing, etc, and I am always happy to create individual designs so please do get in touch if there is anything special you would like!

::PAYMENT::
Payments are taken through PayPal via the Folksy checkout. It is possible to make debit / credit card payments via PayPal without registering an account.

If a purchase is made and not paid for within 24 hours I will contact you to see if you wish to proceed with the order. If no response is made within another 24 hours the order will be cancelled and the item returned to my shop for sale.

::POSTAGE::
Most items are sent out by Royal Mail first class, or standard airmail for international orders. Higher value items are sent by Special Delivery which is fully insured and trackable, this is also a next day service so if you would like to upgrade first class post to special delivery please contact me.

I am able to post ready made items out most weekdays. If the order is paid for before 2pm GMT then it will often go out in the same day's post - if you are in a desperate hurry for something please let me know and I will do what I can to help!

Any import duties / handling fees payable on international orders are the responsibilty of the buyer and if in doubt please check with your local authority before ordering from me.

All items are gift wrapped as standard and packaged securely in a jiffy bag. I always try to reuse packaging materials wherever possible which means you may receive your order in a pre used jiffy bag - if you would prefer a nice new one (perhaps if you're sending direct as a gift) please do let me know! This means I can pass the postage saving on to you, and hopefully do my bit for the environment at the same time :) The gift wrapping materials I use are always brand new.

Please let me know if you are sending direct as a gift as I will omit the invoice with the price on, and I can also include a gift message should you wish.

::REFUNDS AND RETURNS::
I really want you to be happy with your purchase but if for any reason you are not you may return it in it's original, unworn condition and packaging within 14 days for a refund or exchange. If the item is damaged or the wrong item has been sent then your return postage will be refunded as well. Please contact me before returning any item, and obtain a proof of postage as a refund cannot be given until I have received the item back.
