Meet the maker Sarah Clare

Hi everyone, I am a self employed textile and surface pattern designer. I own my own shop in my home town Barnard Castle, which sells allsorts of handmade goodies such as printed fabrics, tea cosys, quilted blankets, cushions, and much more. As well as specialising in textiles I also love make quirky pieces of jewellery which you will also find in my shop. Shop Policies:

Payment - Folksy only allows payment through PayPal. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have a PayPal account to pay through PayPal if using a credit or debit card. Please pay within 3 days of adding item to your basket. Please contact me as soon as possible if you have any problems with the process so as an order is not cancelled and your item offered to another customer, I will reserve items for 3 days only.

Shipping - All items are sent with Royal Mail, First Class/ Second Class Post and I always obtain proof of postage. If you require insurance for your parcel, please contact me and I can alter the postage costs accordingly to Recorded or Special Delivery. I aim to send all orders within 2 days of receipt of payment unless other wise specified in listing or communicated after purchasing.

Please ensure that your PayPal address is up to date as this is where purchases will be sent, unless you request otherwise.

I often re-use padded envelopes – this helps to do our bit for the environment and keeps your postage costs down too!

Refunds/ Exchanges - I take a great amount of time and effort photographing my items and describing them as fully as I possibly can. I hope that you will love your purchase as much as I did making it, but if for any reason you are unhappy with your item when it arrives, please contact me within 7 days of receipt and hopefully we can work together to resolve the issue. If a refund is required, this will be granted (less p+p) upon my receipt of the unworn item, all costs of returning the item will be your resposibility, a refund will not be given for any worn items.
