Meet the maker Michelle Scattergood

Based in Ashbourne Derbyshire Scattergood and Farmer design and make exclusive handbags, accessories, clothing and homewears most of which are not to be repeated, contemporary designed to give a unique edge. Scattergood and Farmer clothes and accessories will appeal to women who have a strong sense of their own individuality and want every one to know so.
I love fabrics new and old and use both for my designs to create unique pieces.
Wanting to start my own business and have my own label I bought and sold vintage clothing whilst studying fashion design at Derby. In 1988 I designed women and children's wear and created my own label selling in England, France, Germany, America and Japan. I also supplied Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's wife's clothing company "The Done Thing" with jackets and waistcoats in the late 80's.
