Meet the maker Sarah Goode

I'm a magpie scavenger at heart with a love for the unusual and sparkle. I hoard and store fabric, beads and buttons waiting for the right project to come along when I bring them altogether to create an upcycled accessory ready to go out into the world again.

In 2001 I graduated from De Montfort University with a BA(Hons) Fashion and Textile Design focussing on Multimedia Textile Design and Surface Decoration.

Colour and texture are my main inspiration along with recycling vintage materials and clothing into items which are funky, usuable and for individuals who like to be individual.

I believe that as well as being eye-catching, an item should be functional as well as produced with as little waste as possible. I make one off items as you can never tell which items will be at hand to recycle next. All materials are thoroughly washed before reuse.
