Meet the maker Wayne Lockwood
I'm based in Lincoln but originally came from Huddersfield. I graduated from Lincoln University with Illustration BA (Hons) in 2005. At Lincoln Uni I met my now wife Becky on the same illustration course. After university we started a commercial illustration business illustrating for newspapers, magazines, children's books, greetings cards and clothes.
Printmaking has always been a private passion of mine, until now. After some serious cajoling from my peers I finally decided to show and sell my prints. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
All linoprints are handpulled from a converted flatbed mangle and are printed on lightfast Heritage Elephant 315gsm paper using Hawthorne oil based ink. The dimensions quoted for each piece are based on the minimum size a frame mount should be to mount the piece, not the frame size. There is a considerable amount of blank surround so you could mount it in a much larger frame should you wish. All prints are signed by the artist.
