Helen Haysom Profile
I’m a keen knitter, dyer, spinner and sewer and I make more than I could possibly use. I would love to share my crafts with you and hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I live with my husband and two cats in a non-smoking house and spend a large portion of my time having fun with yarn and fibre. Living on the outskirts of Bath in the beautiful West Country, I’m never short of inspiration.
If you’d like to get in touch, I’m happy to answer any questions about my products or discuss custom orders. Email me at knitcave@btinternet.com or come and say ‘hi’ – you’ll find me at: my blog www.knitcave.blogspot.com, on Ravelry as KnitCave and also on Twitter as KnitCave1.
*About my yarns and bags*
I make or dye each piece I sell by hand so although I ensure a consistent quality, there will be variations in colour, pattern joins, etc. If you are purchasing several skeins of yarn to make a larger project, you can create an even effect by knitting in stripes, swopping skeins every few rows.
I sell all fibre by approximate weight and provide meterage/yardage where appropriate. I find it best to wind skeins into a ball before knitting as skeins can become very tangled. If you don’t have a ballwinder, I can supply my yarns as a center pull ball so you can start knitting from it straight away. I charge £2 per ball [or whatever] for this service.
*Payment*
Once you placed your order, you have 3 working days to arrange payment, after which I have the right to relist items for sale.
My preferred payment method is Paypal, - it’s quick, secure and accepts almost any debit or credit card – or email me to arrange payment by cheque or postal order. Due to bank charges, I can only accept cheques drawn on British bank accounts and postal orders drawn in pounds sterling.
*Shipping*
I aim to post all goods within three working days after I receive your payment. I send UK packages by 1st Class Royal Mail and use airmail for all other destinations. Email me if you would like to have your parcel tracked if you require as there will be an additional cost.
If I haven’t listed the country you want the yarn shipped to, it is because I haven’t worked out the cost of shipping it there yet! Just let me know and I will be happy to work out the shipping price.
*Returning an item*
I aim to provide you with great product and service. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, please contact me as soon as you receive your order. I really appreciate the opportunity to resolve your issue.
Exchanges are available if you are unhappy with the color or quality of the item. I do try to make sure that colours are accurate but it’s important to remember that different monitors show colors differently.
If the items are faulty or were mis-described, these will be replaced or refunded in full, including postage. If the item is not faulty or mis-described then I will refund the cost of the product itself. Shipping charges (and return shipping) are non-refundable. I cannot process refunds until the item has been received so I recommend you obtain proof of postage should you have to return any item.
