Meet the maker

Born in Liverpool, John, having completed two years on an art foundation course in Bootle College, came to London in the seventies, having been offered a three year course at St Martins School of Art. It was here he attained a BA hons Graphics degree. Alongside working in the photographic industry for over 10 years, John continued to paint, and explore other visual media's, which included model painting, and computer graphics, and during this period, he had an exhibition at The Illustrator's Gallery. Having also engaged with a research into ancient myth and legends, his model painting took over as a career and covered such subjects such as Dragons, Unicorns, Fairies, Samurai and other military pieces After a major health scare in 2010 he returned to his original love of drawing and all the items on this site are a product of this.
