About Tim Kapp Art

Tim Kapp Art

I am a fine art artist from Oxfordshire who will try his hand at painting all sorts of things in oil, but also dabbles with acrylics and pen/pencil.

I've wanted to be an artist most of my life, but only really started painting properly in about 2019, whan I was finally able to overcome my inner critic and produce some oil paintings I am proud of. Since then, I have tried to cram in as much painting as possible while also bringing up a family and working full time as a data and XML wrangler.

I like to paint in a realist style, and particularly enjoy depicting scenes from the English countryside and the architecture in its towns and villages. I am particularly drawn to rich ranges of colour and quite a lot of sky! I have also worked in portraiture a little and particularly enjoy depicting more 'seasoned' faces.
