I'm Elyssa Long, a graphic designer and illustrator from London, now living in Nottingham, and the creative behind Print is Dead. Created during my MA in Graphic Design and Illustration at Nottingham Trent University, Print is Dead is a celebration of my love of mythology and gothic imagery, with a side of esoteric symbolism.
Working with a range of techniques including traditional pen and ink drawing as well as other media and digital painting. I am also an avid printmaker - lino printing, letter press, risograph and screen printing are just some of the print techniques that I have worked with.
Through Print is Dead my aim is to explore the timeless, beautiful and often dark worlds that exist within classic literature and mythology and focus on story-telling that benefits from the tactile and creative art of illustration and printmaking.
