Love knitting, love yarns!

My mother taught me to knit 60 years ago! After retiring, this enabled me to earn a little extra and at the same time satisfy my love of knitting and yarns. The most interesting (and time consuming!) items I knit are cobweb heirloom shawls, also babies blankets, and hats and scarves for adults.

I eventually progressed to designing my own knitting patterns, which I also sell online with the Jackie shawl (named after my sister) being the most popular - the knitted shawl and knitting pattern both. I have various shawls designed by myself and named after family and friends. They range in yarn weights of 1ply (cobweb), 2ply, and 4ply. The blankets and blanket knitting patterns are knitted in DK, Aran and chunky yarns. Some are my own knitting pattern designs and some are from other knitting patterns.

I love yarns so much that I decided to keep a stock of good quality yarns from Acrylic to pure wool and silk to retail. I stock Yeomans, Fyberspates and Jamieson & Smith.

I also have two cats that I have to keep away from the wool when it arrives - for obvious reasons! Moss is 5 years old, a beautiful green-yecross-breed with a long fluffy black coat and a lovely temperament. If it's noisy outside, we usually find him under a bed!

Sushi is 15 years old and is a Maine Coon. She didn't take to Moss when he arrived so they live with an understanding that she's the boss. She's old and cranky but loyal to the core.

What more can you want? Knitting, yarns and cats just seem to go together.
