I am a Mum of a small boy, who inspired me to leave my previous career of teaching and set up my own business. Like many others today (thankfully), I am fully invested in trying to make my process as sustainable as possible. I love searching charity shops and apps for unwanted new and second-hand items which I can transform with the process of ice dying. I am all about colour and pattern and am always up for new ideas and suggestions - let me know what you would like to see! My hand-dyed and hand-made bibs, comforters and scarves are made from bamboo materials; fast-growing and less wasteful than cotton.
Most of my items are for babies and children, though I throw in the occasion scarf and adult clothing - these will keep coming whenever I spot the perfect canvas...
The name Kaleidospixs sums me up perfectly. My love of colour combined with a nickname that my gorgeous sister gave me when I was born (by miss-pronouncing my name and then frequently shortening it until we got to Spixs) - I have been stuck with it ever since!
