Hello!
I live and work in Angus, Scotland, where I make my own hand marbled papers using gouache or acrylic paint in my home studio. I mix up a new colour palette each time I marble, usually after an inspiring, restorative walk in the beautiful hills and glens around Angus. I then spend a few days every month or so creating unique patterns on paper, getting paint everywhere and generally enjoying the making process. Paper marbling is a fascinating and rewarding process which takes time and patience to produce. It is sensitive to the weather, some days it can be wonderfully cooperative, and other days it seems to have a mind of its own!
The rest of my time is spent creating and making things out of my marbled paper... notebooks, stars, butterflies... I keep on experimenting and working out new ideas, some of them don't make it to my little shop and are given away as presents. I am also a trained knitwear designer, so I am often found knitting on the sofa in front of the log burner.
