I've been an artist and crafter my entire life. When my husband and I decided to live on a narrowboat, I had to reconsider how I spent my time due to limited space. We live, and I work in a 48 x 6 ft steel tube, which doesn't leave much room for art supplies or stock. Nevertheless, I had to continue creating to keep my sanity.

One solution was digital art, requiring only my iPad and an internet connection. This eliminated the need for physical art supplies and the associated mess, (a bonus!)

I create all my designs on my iPad, primarily using an incredible app called Procreate. I have a passion for collage and have been able to develop digital techniques in this area., I collaborate with a Print on Demand company to print my designs on a variety of products, including wall art, mugs and notebooks.

Another activity that seemed suitable for a narrow boat was bead weaving. I have a fondness for beads, particularly seed beads, and have been weaving and embroidering with them for years. I started crafting ideas that required minimal materials and didn't take up much space for storage. Thus, The Peaceful Juju was revived. Now, I have one activity that fulfills my desire to create art, and another that satisfies my need for hands-on creation.

I share my boat with a long suffering husband, and a senile old cat called Willow.

Being able to do this is a dream come true, and I feel incredibly blessed.
