My sewing has largely been driven by finding the right kind of bags for my children. The bags I make are created from durable fabrics to take the rough and tumble that comes with children. They are sized for smaller hands - particularly my Little bags for Little Hands range. When I am not sewing you can find me out and about on my bike, at events on Merseyside, or curled up with a hook and yarn.

I first started making children's bags when my youngest son started nursery. He needed to have a practical bag to fit change of clothes, notes home, sun cream and a small toy. At the same time I wanted to be able to hold his hand. And so... out of an old pair of jeans the toddler rucksack came into being!

When it came to moving up the school, he needed a pump bag to hang from his peg. With so many bags in the cloakroom it had to stand out but not be too big. So the smaller nursery bag was sewn and it developed from there!
