Nature and Creativitiy are great healers and focus the mind. With this in mind we have decided to reopen our shop to help us overcome a tragic sudden loss in our lives,my darling husband Nick,
he gave us so much inspiration,support and enthusiasm for our family business.
Every step forward will a testiment to his steadfast belief in us. Although he is not here in body, he will continue on through our work.

All pieces created in the glorious Garden of England, Kent ~ Rejoicing for crafts handmade in Great Britain!

Coming from a long line of creative people - a grandfather who was a talented amateur artist who sketched wonderful drawings of horses and regimental figures during his time as a soldier in the Kent Buffs during the First World War, my father who created beautiful illuminated scrolls with calligraphy and my aunt who painted in oils and was a skilled dressmaker, perhaps it's no surprise why I love to create!

With my little hairy Jack Russell by my feet, I love dreaming up designs to make with my trusty old sewing machine, painting stories on textiles with thread. From cartoon dogs running upon the fabric or farmyard chickens pottering about with silk feathers and feet, the drawn out designs seem come to life with a character that aims to emulate the real life subject.

I've always wanted to stay true to the handmade at home feel, each item unique as I handcraft each cushion, sachet or cat individually in my cosy ( if joyfully cluttered! ) small studio in my home - we believe every item is special in that it is not mass produced and made one by one with the love and care we think all designs deserve.

We pride ourselves in making crafts that are truly made in Britain. Each item created using quality English and whenever possible locally sourced materials to keep with the handcrafted in Britain ethos. I even have a vast collection of spare pieces of fabric I keep for later projects instead of throwing away - a good excuse for keeping a room packed with everything crafty!

LiliDog Design creates soft decorative home furnishings ~ applique and free motion embroidered cushions, hand painted fabric cats, hand pulled and cut lino prints, machine embroidered fish art ~ to name a few items! We are always thinking of new ideas for our shop.
