Description

I used an old cotton tablecloth as the basis for this jug. It is lined using an old candy striped sheet. The front of the jug is made up of the tablecloth and a tea towel. It is decorated with an embroidered denim pocket from a baby's pinafore dress along with stitched flowers with vintage button centres. The jug is further embellished with cotton lace and buttons from a floral blouse; the button hole side has been used to form the handle. The back of the jug makes use of the best of the tablecloth, featuring beautiful hand embroidery.

The jug stands 37 cm high at the spout.

It will slip easily over a wine bottle or an array of plastic or glass bottles which is recommended to maintain its shape.

It may be hand washed, drip dried and ironed with a hot iron.
