The Sky is usually my starting point followed by the distant views. With my work, I travel around Leicestershire, Rutland and Derbyshire and often get inspired by the weather, play of light and fleeting views across the hedgerows. If only I had the time to stop and paint. I take in as much information and a feeling of the scene as I can and then hopefully I capture a scene that is part inspired and part imagination. In this case a gentle colour palette and rolling meadows.
