Item details
In India, scrap fabric and old saris are not wasted. They are layered and sewn together using a hand stitching technique called Kantha, to create beautiful new items such as quilts.
This technique, and the 'no waste' ethos are used to make this little purse. Fabrics and thread left over from larger projects have been used - less waste going to landfill and a better carbon footprint by using what is in the sewing room. That feels good.
