My Pretty Patterns Squares & Rectangles are original handmade mixed media abstract artworks from my Handstitched Geometrics Collection. I've used a pretty patterned paper in pink & white. To compliment this, I've also used a mix of different papers, tissue and textured in shades of green. I've handstitched over the top to create beautifully simple but really quite interesting little art pieces. The thread compliments the colour combination. The stiches aren’t meant to be perfect, that's the beauty of the pieces being handmade. The hand stitching softens the structure of the shapes. The needle markings on the paper add another little bit of interest. Mounted on brown wrapping paper textured with white gouache & acrylic paint & then mounted on white watercolour paper. Some of the paper’s edges have been torn to emphasize the paper texture.
The art pieces have been made as a set. They can be hung on the wall or can sit on a shelf. Buy as a pair for £36 or buy individually for £20. The watercolour paper measures 10cm width by 15cm height. The artwork is ready to be framed to fit into a 4 inch (10cm) by 6 inch (15cm) frame without a mount. The frames in the product photos are used for display purposes only. I’ve photographed the art pieces in different frames to give you an idea of how they will look in your home.
Currently I don’t provide frames but I’m looking into this. Please message me if you would like them to be framed. There will be an additional cost.
