Off cuts of silver - what can I do with them ? send to a refiners or reuse them- this was the most sensible and I started to play around making divots in a charcoal block and filling it with bits of silver and melting them. The divot ended up quite large and eventually became a lovely pebble, after a little filing and sanding it became a rather useful shape lending itself to a charm for bracelet or necklace -initially without the gemstone. The heart charm was also created from off cuts melted and put through a rolling mill and hand sawn. Not entirely made from recycled silver but certainly made good use of some off cuts. I added the 4mm Coral gemstone before attaching to the toggle fastening. I have also made a pendant using the same size pebble which has a lovely peridot setting. It will end up on this site so keep a look out
