Full description
Dainty lapis lazuli stars and silver plated chain combined. The tassel should splay out when you wear it like a starburst. If you love star shapes, or you want to buy a meaningful present for someone who’s a star for you, give this a try. The lapis stars are a deep cobalt blue with lots of pyrite inclusions. Did you know that lapis was ground down and used as a pigment for paints in the Middle Ages? I’d not recommend it with these beads – leave them whole and admire the colour.
Lapis is good with jeans, but this necklace could also be a dress-up item for a party or evening out. Don’t wait until the stars are out to wear it. It fastens with a toggle clasp.
The necklace comes gift wrapped as a perfect present or a pampering treat for you. I recommend you store it in a tarnish-resistant box or pouch, and give it a polish with a dry cloth after you’ve worn it to maintain its shine.
