Item details

Chunky notebook bound in burgundy leather with a lighter stripe on the back. The notebook measures 13.5 x 10 x 4cm and contains lovely 120g/m2 natural white acid-free cartridge paper. Inside are hand-marbled endpapers and the book is sewn with Ritza Italian saddlery thread, which is 100% woven polyester and will not rot over time. Each book I make is unique and is signed with its own individual number (this book is 2,213), and comes in a hand-made giftbox.

My books are made from reclaimed items that would often end up in landfill. This leather came from the side panel of Mr. Ray's reclining leather chair, the paler stripe on the back is where the chair has been used over time and reminded me of the paintings be American Abstract Artist, Mark Rothko. It is a really sturdy little book and is built to withstand much use - ideal for a book that is carried around to jot ideas and notes in.
