Full description
One of the lovely things about beach pottery is that it comes from many periods of history, so we find all kinds of colours and types. It is also aged by being in the water so may pieces have cracks in the glaze. This charming hanger features a pretty flower in the centre, framed by a range of shades of pink. The pottery has been tumbled so it is smooth and clean. The back of the hanger is top quality laser cut plywood. We have finished the mosaic with silver grey grout to set off the white and pink pottery.
The hanger is 11.5 cm across and 9 mm thick. It comes on a 9 cm cotton cord. If you would prefer a longer cord please let us know the length you would like.
Our pottery wall hangers are individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of pottery is unique, so each wall hanger is unique. Because our raw materials have spent time on the seashore our products may have small imperfections, which we think is part of their charm. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The wall hanger will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
