Inspired by the boats at Knaresborough. I painted them moored in Summer. I was inspired by the rope where theu were moored and the gentle colours in the shadows and water, The stronger colours of the boats and reflections are exciting and give the boats their own character, memories of the day and excitement of setting off down the river again. I t was painted to lift our spirits to feel joy. through colour
