This is a medium-sized sketchbook/journal with a hard-wearing cover and thick cartridge paper pages. The signatures (folded pages) are sewn directly on to the leather spine, so that papers and photographs can be slipped in between the pages without bursting the spine - perfect for a creative person! The book is between A5 & A4 & measures 16 x 22 x 4cm. Its endpapers are Jane Churchill's 'Oceana' patterned wallpaper and it is sewn together with Ritza Italian saddlery thread. It is unique, signed and numbered (No. 2,163) and comes in its own hand-made gift box.

This leather was originally a back panel of Pauline's, Daughter's, Friend's settee. It is designed to take a lot of wear & tear and I thought it would be perfect for a practical sketchbook or illustrated journal. The paper is 180g/m2 and will take ink drawings or light watercolours, but is smooth enough for writing with an ink pen.
