Full description
This brooch has been hand-appliqueed and embroidered. 'Small print' fabrics are used for the cliff tops and hand-made felt is used for the sea, sky and small beach. The yellow coastal, or 'horned', poppies in the foreground are embroidered in ribbons the rest in embroidery threads. Two rows of couching over a pure wool yarn in pale slate gray, frame the design.
The brooch is reinforced with recycled plastic from a bottle. Felt is used to neaten the back. A brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
