I believe that this is one of the finest jewellery boxes I have made. The heirloom quality box itself displays the beautiful medullary ray typical of the best quarter-sawn oak, whilst the lid is from a wonderful piece of burr oak that retains its natural bark edge - Mother Nature's Magic at its best!

Hinges are hand-crafted - also in oak.

Outside dimensions are 10" long x 5 1/2" high x 6 3/4" wide. The lid is nearly 10" x 10".

Inside is a tray of Cedar of Lebanon (with its pleasant natural scent) lined with deep burgundy crushed velvet, incorporating part of the tray fitted out for rings.

Embedded in the front of the box is a genuine polished fossil ammonite that somehow reflects some of the patterning in the lid.The contents shown in the box are, of course, not included!
