These adorable little handmade tin mines were inspired by my recent trip to Cornwall (and my avid reading of the Poldark series of books by Winston Graham!) They are constructed from sterling silver and finished with an oxidised and hammered texture to give the look and charm of the mine engine houses still standing along the Cornish coastline.

They have 11mm sterling silver earring stud posts and the pair pictured is ready to ship.

Each tiny tin mine is formed using traditional silversmithing techniques making them each unique in their own little way. They measure approximately 10 by 8 mm and are three dimensional cubes standing approximately 6mm out from the end of the stud.

This design was based on the Towanroath engine house near St Agnes, part of Wheal Coates mine on the north-west coast of Cornwall.
