Full description
A pretty, appliqued and embroidered hillside scene decorates this miniature wall plaque.
The background of this plaque has been created by applying an assortment of fabric scraps to a fleece fabric background, using blanket stitch. Details of the composition have been added by hand embroidery. Snow and frost in the foreground are suggested by a scrap of lace. Composition details are stitched in a mixture of cottons, wools and vintage flax thread.
Couching, over a twist of three coordinating yarns, frames the design.
The plaque is stiffened by several layers of plastic, cut from a recycled bottle, over which the embroidered fleece is stretched. The back of the plaque is neatened with commercial felt and a hanging loop, of button-hole stitch in cotton, is securely stitched in place.
Height (excluding hanging loop) - 10.5 cm approx.
Please note this plaque may not be washed.
The easel is not included.
