The inspiration for The Fogeys came from having spent a great deal of time visiting my mother in her nursing home. Not exactly funny I agree, but my mother loved life.
She always saw the funny side of whatever situation life threw at her. I think I've inherited this from her... For some reason both mum and I simply saw the funny side of her using a very much needed zimmer frame. Generally the zimmer frame seems to be associated with ageing, not necessarily with disability. Even when life became tough, mum's humour was always there. I regard all The Fogeys products as her legacy to me, and am thrilled when others see the humour in my unique range of sarcastic age-related products.
