I began painting canvases inspired by classic album covers a couple of years ago when a friend commisioned an Iggy and the Stooges themed painting for his home. I was really pleased with the finished look of the 12" square canvas and decided I wanted to do some more album artwork inspired pieces.
Nevermind by Nirvana seemed an obvious choice as it is a truly iconic image, instantly recognised and symbolic of an exciting era in alternative music. As a teenager in the 1990's this was a staple of any good record collection and this classic cover art evokes many memories of the time.
