Item details

Add some colour to your flower beds! This is a 75mm (3") diameter polystyrene ball covered in multi-coloured mirrored glass mosaic and resin beads. There is a 75mm zinc plated pin inserted through the centre to tie string, rope, ribbon through to enable you to hang this from a branch, hook etc. The pin can also be removed and a garden cane or similar inserted instead to let you stand this in your flower beds for colour once your flowers have fizzled out :)

Waterproof grout has been used however, as with all mosaic items, constant wet conditions (like running water or a pond) or hard frosts may undermine the tiles. That said, I made a mosaic ball for my garden in the spring & the rain hasn't bothered it at all!

My little girl has a craft box, and in that box there was a polystyrene ball. My garden was looking a bit green & in need of colour, so I took the ball & covered it in blue glass squares, grouted it & plonked it in the garden on a stick - I didn't even know if it would work & they are very tricky to do, especially to grout! It looked lovely in rain or shine & provided an interesting colourful addition to my flower bed. So I got some more poly balls and went to work! I particularly like this one in mirrored glass as it is so colourful and of course the sunshine bounces of it too!

This started off at 70mm & grows a bit with tiles & grout :) I also create mosaic garden balls in 80mm and 100mm in a variety of mosaic tiles. I will add these to my shop shortly.
