My photographs are inspired by a life long love and explorations of the natural world. I’m especially drawn to the colours, textures, stories and patterns in the nature I find around me. I’m based in Derbyshire and am often roaming the woodland here at dawn and dusk with my camera… But I also spend a lot of time in Northumberland, in the Highlands of Scotland, Wales, the fenland marshes and also in Scandinavia (where I’m sometimes found sat in a hide watching bears in the forests…)
I’m very drawn to old and worn photographs, to the work of early wildlife and landscape photographers, to images which capture the relationships between people and the land.

Full description
An A4 sized print of a photograph of a faded Chinese lantern seed head (grown in my wildlife friendly garden - a haven of interesting plants, seeds and little creatures) and vintage bottles.
Collections of objects fascinate me: the stories they suggest, their textures, patterns and colours. I use objects a lot in the projects I work on to ignite stories and ideas - these are often natural objects (nibbled pine cones, worn pebbles, drift wood) but also items gathered from charity shops and collected from many places. I'm very drawn to photographing these objects and others I find on my travels and I'm interested in the ways natural light can highlight and illuminate objects in different settings and at different times of the day.
Price is for the print only, no mount board.
Packaged in clear cellophane wrapping with cardboard to protect it.
Copyright remains with myself, the artist and is not transferred through sale of the print.
