Stunning deep green Chrome Diopside gems have been used to create this stunning statement necklace.
Chrome diopside is sometimes called Siberian Emerald and is mined in Siberia for only six months of the year, making it a rare and highly expensive gemstone. Green gemstones of this colour are not common in the natural world, making them a coveted stone.
I have traditionally hand knotted these super translucent gem nuggets to create the body of the necklace with a stunning textured focal disc of sterling silver vemeil. The disc has been off set from the centre of the necklace, making the necklace individual. The gold and green are a wonderful contrast - rich and opulent. The necklace is secured by a strong sterling silver vermeil magnetic clasp.
Please note, magnets are not advised to be worn during pregnancy or for people fitted with electronic health maintaining devices.
The necklace measures 51.5cm or 20.5 inches in length approx. The focal golden disc measures 18mm in diameter approx.
